MEC URGES YOUNG PEOPLE TO TAKE CARE OF HIV/AIDS

ADDO - Young people should take HIV/AIDS more seriously by following the A,B,C and D rule, Economic Affairs, Environment and Tourism MEC
Enoch Godongwana said this week.

Speaking at Nomathamsanqa Hall here he challenged the youth to abstain, be faithful, condomize or die.

"It is high time that young people take AIDS very seriously because it kills".

Responding to a complaint that local police were doing nothing, the MEC urged the locals to form community-policing forums that will
monitor the conduct and performance of the police.

Godongwana said the community needed to monitor whether government projects were benefiting everybody or not.

Welfare MEC Ncumisa Kondlo called upon elected councilors to be accountable to their communities.

The MECs were accompanying Premier Makhenkesi Stofile during the provincial governments outreach programme.
